Step 1: Create Your Claude Account

Go to claude.ai on your browser
Click Sign up (top right)
Enter your email address and create a password — use your personal email
Verify your email address by clicking the link in the confirmation email
Log in — you'll see Claude's chat interface

What you should see: A clean chat interface with a text box at the bottom labeled "How can I help you today?"
